Just Another Trouble Bubble - Joris van Merwijk wint bij IDA Awards

Recent kregen we het nieuws dat 'Just another trouble bubble' van Joris van Merwijk Goud heeft gewonnen bij de International Design Awards (IDA 2025). Dit boek is prachtig vormgegeven in samenwerking met Sophie van Kempen! Ik ben blij voor Joris en Sophie en vond het leerzaam dat ik op de achtergrond heb mogen meehelpen met project vanaf het allereerste begin; het concretiseren van de thematiek in relatie tot de beeldtaal, ideevorming, techniek, selectie van de visuele elementen, ontwerp keuzes en als allerlaatst de realisatie van een expositie met de bijbehorende product(boek) foto's.

We recently received the news that "Just Another Trouble Bubble" by Joris van Merwijk won Gold at the International Design Awards (IDA 2025). This book is beautifully designed in collaboration with Sophie van Kempen! I'm thrilled for Joris and Sophie and found it instructive to have been involved in the project (behind the scenes) from the very beginning: fleshing out the theme in relation to the visual language, developing ideas, technical skills, selecting visual elements, design choices, and, last but not least, creating an exhibition with accompanying product (book) photos.
